Why the aerial decides everything
A satellite radio signal comes from above, not beside you
Ordinary radio is line of sight from a mast a few miles away. A satellite feed comes down from orbit. Every practical decision about fitting follows from that one difference.
It means a satellite radio aerial wants clear sky, not height. A plain magnetic puck in the middle of a steel roof with nothing above it will beat an expensive aerial on a parcel shelf under a heated rear screen, every single time. It also means a multi-storey car park and a metal-roofed workshop will drop the signal, and that this is normal rather than a fault.

Four steps, and one of them is not ours
Satellite radio hardware and the broadcast plan are two separate purchases, from two separate places. We handle the hardware properly and tell you the truth about the rest.
Tell us the vehicle
Year, make, model and trim. Trim is the part that decides it — two identical-looking cars from the same year often differ, because the satellite radio tuner was bundled into a premium audio package rather than fitted across the range.
We confirm what fits
Before anything ships, we check the parts against the vehicle. If something will not physically go in without cutting a fascia, we say so and suggest the dock instead.
Fit it, or we fit it
Docks and mounts go in without tools. Dash-mounted receivers and hard-wired supplies are a fitting job, and we come to the vehicle from $85.
Get the satellite radio plan from the provider
Read your receiver identifier off the screen and take it to the service provider. That part is not ours to sell and we will not pretend otherwise.

How we work
No cutting, no surprises
Trim panels come off with plastic tools, not screwdrivers. Cable runs follow the factory looms down the pillars and under the sills rather than across a headlining. Power comes off an add-a-circuit fuse tap that carries the original circuit through untouched, so the vehicle goes back to standard by pulling one part.
We do not cut into a vehicle loom. If a job genuinely cannot be done without cutting — and that is rare — we tell you before we start and you decide, not us.
Most satellite radio fitting takes between ninety minutes and half a day, depending on whether the aerial lead has to be run the length of the vehicle and whether the dash has to come apart to reach the factory plug. We quote from the vehicle details before we arrive, not after.
Before we book
We ask for the year, make, model and trim, and a photograph of the dash and the roof if you can send one. That is usually enough to know whether a receiver will go in the fascia or whether the dock is the sensible answer. The assessment costs nothing.
After the fit
We test the satellite radio on the vehicle before we leave: signal held while stationary, held on the move, audio routed through your stereo, supply switching correctly with the ignition. Workmanship is warranted for twelve months. If a fit we did develops a fault, we come back.
